Was I asleep, or was I awake? It was in this realm that I lay in bed. When you have a dream and awake to a sound or such that matches the same action or moment in a dream you were having, it forces you awake in an adrenaline dump of excitement. That is what it was. It had to of been, I mean, I thought I was asleep. Not having slept well because last day or so. My head and ear ached, leaving me with this pain and inability to find comfort, the key ingredient, in my opinion, for falling asleep. I did not know the time, only that there was a bright flash of light, a lingering exposure through my eyelids. I have seen one in the likes of an electrical fire, transformer explosion, or even beautiful lightning. This is what my mind told me it was; in that instant, it occurred. I lay in bed, then there it was, my mind lit up with an unknown light. I opened my eyes as my cat. Ginger jumped off the bed at that exact moment. I know this because she is far from gingerly when escaping something ...
